This wedding took place at the weekend at South Farm, near Royston. The bride and groom chose gold and burgundy for the cupcakes.
I used gold foil cases – I have found make of foil cases which seem to behave. They are quite notorious for peeling away from the cakes, but these stayed put!
The gold flowers were gold sugar paste brushed with gold lustre and they had gold ball centres.
The burgundy flowers were burgundy petal paste brushed with burgundy lustre and they had gold ball centres too.
There were chocolate and vanilla cakes all topped with vanilla frosting.
Simplicity and a restrained colour palette is often the best thing!
