It’s a long time since I last posted on the blog – life just gets in the way, I’m afraid! I will endeavour to get more orders on the blog though this year…
This order was made straight after the New Year for a Pearl Wedding Anniversary party. The top cake had to be gluten, dairy, nut, sunflower and seed free, so was a bit more of a challenge than usual. The client asked for a pearl necklace and bracelet on top, forest green ribbon and a diamante 30 on top.
The cupcakes were just regular vanilla cupcakes with a poured fondant icing in pale green and pale cream topped with burgundy hearts, large pearls and cream roses.
The large pearls were made of sugarpaste and simply sprayed with a pearly lustre.
The diamante numbers are available from lots of suppliers online and come in a few different colours. In this case the diamante seemed to pick up the green and burgundy theme.
